The Fatiha is recited in all of the daily prayers of the Sufi and it is said to contain the entire message of the holy Qur’an in its seven perfect ayat (verses).

As you will learn later, sonic theology carries much meaning for the Sufi. Therefore, proper pronunciation of the Arabic is very important. Listen carefully to the recitations of the Fatiha below and practice sounding out each verse. Notice how your heart begins to feel as you get better at reciting the Fatiha more clearly and accurately. Let each sound flow like a revelation from deep inside your heart through your tongue, and let this sound code open your heart to receive the truth and mercy contained this message from God to creation.
