What is Sidi Remembrance Week?
As many of us remember, our beloved guide Sidi Muhammad Sa’id al-Jamal ar-Rifa’i ash-Shadhili, left the dunya on November 11, 2015, by the Order of Allah ﷻ. May Allah preserve his secret and bless him always, giving him the privilege of seeing His Beautiful Face in Firdaws (the highest heaven). Amin.
This year we will host teachings, discussion panels, a khalwa, a khatmah, and a special salawat recitation as a way to remember, honor, and celebrate our beloved guide.
We invite you to join us for this special time of remembrance and gratitude for all that Sidi has given us and continues to give us.

Khalwa in Honor of Sidi

Community Khatmah
Khatmah is the practice of an individual or a group reciting the entire Qur’an. Every year we do so and donate the blessings to our beloved Guide.
You are invited to sign up to recite 1 juz (1/30th) of the Qur’an with the intention of donating the blessings to Sidi, insha’allah. For this purpose, you can recite the Qur’an in Arabic or you can read a translation in English (or any other language you wish).
To participate, register for the Sidi Remembrance series and select the appropriate option when asked if you wish to participate.
Recitation of Dala’ilu-l-Khayrat
Sharifah Keith will recite the Dala’ilu-l-Khayrat, also known as Waymarks of Benefits and the Brilliant Burst of Lights in the Remembrance of Blessings on the Chosen Prophet ﷺ, for nine days in honor of Sidi Muhammad. On the first day the recitation will be preceded by a 90 minute teaching, insha’allah. Learn more about this book and recitation practice here.
