One Intention is to Serve and Support You
Over this past year, SSC has held to one intention; to connect, listen, and serve the needs and hopes of our Shadhiliyya community.
Behind this intention of service there is a greater intention–to inspire beloveds to stand in their truth and be the holy jewel that Allah, Most High has been preparing you to be for all of your life.
Before Sidi passed, he stated, “I have given you everything.” Now is the time to actualize the gifts and the wisdom our guide entrusted to his students. In Music of the Soul, Sidi writes;
“Keep your brothers and sisters special in your heart, and give them love and peace, and help, and mercy. This is the meaning of brothers in God. This what every student needs in this way. If you do not have a brother or sister to help you in the way, you would not reach and you would lose your time. God asks you, ‘Why did you lose My time by losing your brothers and sisters?’ ”
We Need Your Help
Your brothers and sisters on the SSC Board of Directors are committed to following the guidance of our guide and Allah All Mighty and His prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. We intend that the new website and the many initiatives being brought forward this year will be mercy for beloveds that is founded in this holy guidance. We need your help.
The Waliyy Support Circle
We wish to create a special group of beloveds to help actualize our intentions and be earth for our community. This group will help other beloveds by helping to form and facilitate Reading & Writing Groups and facilitate Walking Groups. As part of this you will answer questions and direct beloveds to the resources they are seeking and support new, grassroots initiatives as they emerge from the soil of our community, from wherever it sprouts.
