About Imam Muhammad Yaqin, Ph.D.
Muhammad Yaqin is a member of the South Central Shadhiliyya Sufi Community since 2000.
He received his Masters and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout his studies at UT, he was involved with the Center for Middle Easter Studies. He studied early Islamic history, Coexistence in Ottomans, Interfaith dialogue. He has been serving as the imam of the South Central Shadhiliyya Sufi Community since 2004.
